| DO YOU HAVE A VIRUS ?.

DO YOU HAVE SPY WARE ?.

IS YOUR COMPUTER SLOWING DOWN
?.
OR DOING STRANGE THINGS
?.

FREE ADVICE AND SOFTWARE:-

If you suspect that you have a virus or some other dodgy software installed
on your computer follow these steps:-

Install the latest virus checker click update and then do a full
system scan including checking within Zip files.

Install the latest version firewall such as Zone alarm and enable Anti Spyware
monitoring and email protection etc Go into program control to list all programs
and any that are suspect left click and select Kill. This will prevent the
file from ever running.

Download Spybot search and destroy www.security.kolla.de/ Update the software and do a full
scan check and fix files as necessary **enable imunization**

Download latest version of Hijack this http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/
Do a full scan and repair anything that looks suspect. ( Be carefull not to
fix everything as some items may be legitimate)

Manually go to the windows/System32 folder and sort by date look at the
latest entry's hover the mouse over a file and you will get further info on the
file if it looks suspect then upload it here http://virusscan.jotti.org/ to have it checked by 14
virus checkers. Enter the filename into www.google.com for even more information.
Delete or quarantine any suspect files. If you find it is valid then you can
always unquarantine it. If I quarantine a file I usually zip it which makes it
harder to run.

Other excellent programs to check out are Security task manager (the
full registered version is more helpfull) Lists and grades all tasks. http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/download.html

Download and run adware alert http://adwarealert.com/download.html

As a final check download and install Registry Mechanic
to check and optimise your registry files.

At the end of this you should have a leaner meaner faster machine with no
spyware or virus in sight.
